Well worth the trip

Well worth the trip
If you are looking for a safari that offers almost certain success in spotting a variety of wildlife, then Tanzania is the place to go. We had a wonderful experience itraveling across the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater and then on to Zanzibar.Wildlife is abundant on the Serengeti and at the Crater, as you can imagine. It was not hard to spot elephants, zebra, giraffe, wildebeasts, hippos, cheetahs, hyenas  and even lions mating. (We were there during January, which is lion-mating season.) We saw many baby animals and were able to witness the interaction between a mother cheetah and her cub  As we traveled toward Arusha to catch our flight to Zanzibar, the vegetation became lush and the wildlife became primate: an abundance of baboons. Zanzibar is ideal for rest and relaxation following days of riding in a safari jeep. Beautiful beaches, plus the opportunity to visit spice farms and Stone Town, the capital, to learn about the island's history and culture made for a wonderful conclusion to a spectacular vacation.
