Your Place in Vermont
Welcome to the Okemo Valley of Vermont
The Okemo Valley encompasses 11 towns and surrounding communities in South Central Vermont: Ludlow, Chester, Cavendish, Weathersfield, Grafton, Andover, Londonderry, Weston, Mount Holly, Shrewsbury, and Plymouth. If you are looking to experience the best of Vermont, we are the destination for recreation and relaxation throughout the four seasons.
For the adventurous, Vermont summers concist of swimming, hiking, mountain biking, golf, and fishing. And for those looking for some New England culture, there is theater at the Weston Playhouse, festivals and outdoor summer concerts all season long.
Fall is the perfect time of year to throw on a warm sweater and pick apples in one of our orchards, visit Chester's Fall Festival and Mount Holly's Cider Days or take a scenic mountain drive and experience the beautiful foliage transformaton that Vermont is known for.
Winter is more than just hot chocolate and fireplaces. We have all kinds of outdoor activities, like downhill skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, nordic skiing, and snowmobiling. We're home to the Scenic Route 100 Byway, the skiers' highway that connects Magic, Bromley, Okemo and Killington ski areas, all of which have their unique terrain and expriences for visitors.
With crocuses peeking through the last of the snow and trees blooming pink and white petals, our springs are all about renewal and growth. Join us in getting rid of the mud and welcoming the warmth of the sun at the Spring Mud Fling.
When you visit us throughout the year, you will find that we are home to many museums, including the Presidnet Calvin Coolidge State Historic Site; Fletcher Farm School for the Arts & Crafts, the oldest arts-and-crafts school in the country; and many culinary treasures, including farm-to-table dining. With our family-owned bookstores, artisan galleries, and antique shops, we have some great shopping, too. There is truly something for everyone here in the Green Mountains.
